What is Feng Shui ~ Part 1

How to Create Energy flow for the life you desire and deserve with Feng Shui Part 1 of a 3 part series on feng shui ~ a discovery of Feng shui and how to begin to assess and assit the energy flow of your space

Feng shui is translated into wind and water. It’s the at of placement of items within your space to best allow energy to flow freely to support all of who you are and all that you bring to this world. Feng Shui principles can be applied to any space. That space can be your home, the actual building you reside in. It can be a garden or the land that your home sits upon. The tenents of Feng Shui can guide energy flow in your office and even, yes, your car! Wherever energy exists (and it exists everywhere), Feng shui can help enhance it’s flow. 4elements_Fengshui_Blogpost

People use feng shui when they want to create positive energy in their lives. It’s about setting the intention for their lives and supporting that with the art of Feng Shui for positive shifts. It’s where not only wind and water of outer energies meet but it’s also about where our intenrnal desires meet outer energetic influences and these must be in harmony for the greatest successes.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese Art form that has many different schools of thought. It has many tenents, nuances and facets to it. Many of those who have stuided it will tell ou about the laws and rules you must abide by and the ‘cures’ you can use for challenging energy paths. While certified in Interior Alignment“, I’ve studied a variety of approaches and I always come back to the basic philosophy of “If it feels good, It’s good Feng shui” “If it feels good, it’s good #fengshui” #interioralignment Share on X

How a space ‘feel’s to the person who uses it is of the utmost importance.  I have my own style of decorating and you have your own and still another has his/her own as well. It’s not about applying someone else’s likes and dislikes ino your home. Feng shui is about adapting your likes to support you and the areas of growth ou desire. And,  you don’t have to go out and spend a fortune. Sometimes, a subtle change (like swapping out lamps from one room to another that I did last week) can provide profound shifts in energy!

The first step in understanding the art of feng shui is to walk your space, see it, sense it, feel the energy flow. Feel where it flows like a lazy river goes and feel wehre the energy gets stuck. Take some time, start at the entrance of your home and open the door as a sacred observer would. walk slowly with curiosity through your space and really feel the flow of energy. Where does it flow freely and where does it get stuck?  If it gets stuck in one spot, is there something you can shift to make it flow with greater ease?  This is the first step in sensing energy flow that is supportive to you! Let me know how it feels!

In my next post, I’ll be writing about THE number 1 Inhibitor of energy flow! I’ll ‘see’ you there!
