The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet

Inspired April 2013

The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet is launched to Awaken Your Spirit & empower your thinking. Words are Energy! They can lift us up and they can just as easily bring us down. Spirit driven words will raise your vibration UP. By finding the meaning these words have in your life and embracing them, one at a time each day ~ after the course of a month, The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet will have raised your energy up. My desire for you is that you are able to embrace your inner spirit  and, as a result, live In-Joy. ~ laura

T is for Together.

Together. Another powerful word. I’ve started breaking it apart into To-Gather. You see John Donne was right when he wrote  “No Man is an Island”  Regardless of how you see yourself, a solo-preneur, a single parent, an introvert, you will at some point gather with others. And, together is much more powerful than alone. People compliment one another. The gifts you have are different than the gifts of another and that is how the riches of life are built. Strong families, communities and businesses are successfully built upon the strengths of each person that gathers in support of these.

I’m a recovering DIY addict. I was one of those people who felt that I could get it done better and faster by myself than to have to ask for the help and support of another. What I realized is that that really is being your own worst enemy. That by asking for support and by surrounding myself with people who believed in me and understood my core values, I realized that together we could exponentially accomplish great good deeds.

It’s hard to ask for help but to live Soul-Wise is to-gather together like minded individuals who value you. Those who will cheer you on when you have successes and who will listen when you struggle and who will hold you accountable when you mis-take your steps! And, of course, you become one for them as well. Joan Baez wrote:

No man is an Island, No man stands alone.

Each man’s joy is joy to me Each man’s grief is my own.

We need one another. So I will defend

Each man as my brother. Each man as my friend.

Together much can be accomplished. Who have you brought together in your life? Who have you gathered to support you as and what group do you belong to in which you give that support back?

  1. I also am a recovering DIY addict and just pinned a post this weekend on independence versus interdependence. Thought-provoking and encouraging post.
