How to Maintain Courage in the Moments of Self~Doubt

Do you ever find yourself in a particular time experiencing one of those Moments of Self ~ Doubt? Do you know how to Maintain Courage in those moments? Well, Do you ask yourself any of these questions:

What am I doing HERE?

Who do I think I am that I can do THIS?

What am I supposed to do NOW?

What did I get myself into AGAIN?

question

No Doubt you have! These moments of Self-Doubt are triggered by so much: memory of a past failed attempt, low self-esteem, disbelief in your ability and the list goes on and on and on….. So, if we are going to get them, why not learn how to DEAL with them?

To overcome those moments, it will take courage. And, that courage comes from within. It’s what is required of you to step beyond your comfort zone. Tapping into your core wisdom quickly and easily will help bring that courage right up to the surface.

In a moment of self-doubt, to maintain that needed courage to step forward, ask yourself this one simple question:  Is this the BEST next STEP forward that will lead me in the direction of clarity of the situation?  If you answer, yes, it will increase your vibration and the courage will be there. If you answer, no, than perhaps it’s not the step forward you need to be taking.

You can also do some subconscious work to be able to quickly access your innate courage you need in those moments of self-doubt. I’ve created a gift for you that includes how to create an evening ritual and a short meditation that will give you what you need to maintain courage in the next moment of self-doubt you may have. You can access it here.

I know but even the best of us go over bumps in the road here and there when it comes to stepping forward. It’s the one’s that know how to run over them instead of letting them slow you down that maintain courage in those pesky moments of self-doubt. I do wish people’s bumps were much smaller than they imagine! Thanks for your thoughts!

  5. I was reading about psychopaths today, and the one lesson we can learn form them is that they tend to stay focused in the now. They don’t live in the past or the future. I don’t want to be a psychopath, but some focus would be an improvement.

BE HERE NOW. Make today’s mistakes and find the gift in them. It’s the present. 😉

  7. Laura,
Self-doubt creeps up on all of us for sure. When I start asking myself those questions from your post, I throw up a mental stop sign. I remind myself of my purpose in life and the people I want to serve well. I wrap up all my doubts in an imaginary balloon and send it skyward. 🙂
    Thanks for the great post.

It most certainly does, Sandi. It’s a human condition called the ego talking! And, I LIKE the image of a stop sign to remind ourselves of that!!!! AWESOME 🙂
