How To See the Signs in Life

Here are the questions I should have been asking myself these past few months: “Laura, why are finances challenging you right now? ? Where do you need to plug up the leaks in your life?  Why is your spam overflowing with toilet referrences? What signs are you NOT seeing?” Had I been asking myself these questions. Had I been open to the signs. Had I been following the process that I know works. I’d have seen this one. But, I didn’t. Generally, I am very open on how to see the signs in life but this one I missed.

See, I should  have questioned this more. In January. I had a high water bill for an empty rental property. In February, A rental agent told me about a leaky toilet. (I went looked and thought I had fixed it but hadn’t correlated the two)  In March, my blog  was OVERFLOWING with spam from toilet sites…things like  ‘toilet problem’, ‘water conservation toilets’, oh and my favorite ‘fix toilet’. And, when I say overflowing, I mean over 400 comments a day sent into my spam with this theme but did I put two and two together? ………..no! Was I focusing on How to see the Signs in  life? No!

toilet

Then, In April, for the same empty rental property, I received a water bill that was over $500! THAT woke me up. Now, I sent my handyman in to look at the property and yes, you guessed it, the toilet needed to be replaced. A tough lesson for how to see the signs in  life. And on top of it, My ego is now trying to bruise my spirit ~ “you didn’t see THAT one did you hahahahhahaha so much for this fancy-smansy spirit stuff’ ~ it was saying. Well, no Mr. Ego, I didn’t! But, I’m also going to start looking for the signs in  life ~ Spirit is Really Telling me!

So, how do you look for the signs in life? I have a simple approach that I use (okay, I’m human and wasn’t doing that ~ my clients LOVE that I use myself as an example so I will do that!) when open to signs. It goes like this:

Ask A question about your concern(s) (Cash flow is a concern: where can I save money and where can I create money)

Start looking for answers Everywhere (Even in your spam file!)

Keep a notebook handy and write things you are noticing down. (If I had done this Toilet would have been in there A LOT!)

When you see something at least three times, review it and see the connection it may have with the question.  (Is there a connection here? Is my toilet really fixed?)

Follow the Flow of the signs. Act Upon them. (When you see it, follow the flow. I have replaced my toilet. Cash will not be flushed down the drain any longer. What can I do now to continue this momentum? I’m talking with my financial advisor and a cash-flow business expert tomorrow!)

Rewards will be your’s! And since I had the toilet fixed on Friday. I’ve received two checks from unexpected sources as confirmation that The Universe is approving of what I am doing!  Now THAT’s what happens when you look to see the signs in life!

On a HAPPIER note, you may want to listen to my Presentation  The Beauty & Awe of Double Rainbows Presentation. You can REGISTER for it HERE!!!!  It has information about how to see signs in your life, what colors mean, how they are associated with our chakras and much more!!!!

Don’t flush your money down the toilet and  don’t miss the signs that are divinely given to you! Are you focusing on how to see the signs in life? Have there been signs in your life recently that if you looked at them might be pointing you in the direction of abundance and Joy?

  1. LOL- I think sometimes we are just so busy that we forget to take the time to look for the signs. But you’re right- when we do- awesome!

We do get busy….. but the signs are there all the time and we need (I need 😉 to remember that! This really was funny 🙂

  2. Laura, I can relate to this one. Sometime the signs are in neon, but if you aren’t focussing on them, you can’t see them at all. It sounds like you’ve got it all turned around!

Janine ~ neon? YES! This was Bright Green, Blue, Pink, Orange NEON…the Universe was really playing with me with the spam!! 🙂

  4. This is so true, Laura. I love your suggestions about asking, noting and acting upon the signs.

    Laura Clark Reply:

Yes, Anne! It’s not worth looking at and finding the signs unless you act upon them. “Universe, I noticed and acted!”

  5. I look for the signs but not as much as I should. I always question anything that I think is a sign. I will start adding them to a notebook, that will make it much clearer.

I know ~ is it a sign or isn’t it…following what you see really helps. Glad you are going to try that notebook!

  6. Laura,

This is so great. I have been working on listening and got some surprises when I didn’t (potential clients had other things they needed to take cared of) and surprises when I did (a potential client that will be challenging and financially abundant) LOL.

Thank you Spirit (and Laura as the delivery source)

  7. This is very inspiring, thank you, sometimes I get stuck thinking I have to think my way through everything or the intuitive hunches have to come from within. Its sort of being too much of an island lol

  8. Hi Laura!

Here’s what completely spoke to me: “Follow the Flow of the signs. Act Upon them.” Because I just got done visiting a blog about horses for the UBC. In the last week, I’ve come across 3 different things about horses. I’ve been wanting to go horseback riding for the longest time & haven’t. Now, I’m here and you’re telling me to listen to the signs.

Okay. Got it. I will listen.

Thanks so much for the great post & for a little kick in the behind. 🙂

Glad we met via UBC. Cheers, darlin.

  9. Sometimes we don’t notice things that gently tap us on the shoulder. They need to whack us round the head with a barge pole. As long as we notice them eventually. 😉

  10. Yes that is some crazy stuff how that all played out. I try to see the signs, sometimes i ignor them though, then I regret that.

    [Reply]

    Laura Clark Reply:

It was certainly a lesson for me not to ignore and to pay attention 🙂

  11. I like the rule of 3. Alot of times we know what to do and get tapped on the shoulder a few times…then a sledgehammer LOL..we usually respond to the sledgehammer.

    [Reply]

    Laura Clark Reply:

I like tapping ~ it’s the all out ‘you didn’t listen the first few times’ and wham that makes me rethink! Back to the notebook ~ have it with me now!!! 🙂

  12. This post was just so funny! Toilet talk in your spam! You never know where the signs will come from! I usually ask that my signs be crazy enough to smack me upside my head with!

  14. Ha! This is great and the timing is perfect. Yesterday, the theme was being in sync. I was obviously out of sync with what I wanted because I couldn’t get iTunes to sync with my iPhone (thank you Apple Care!). I couldn’t get the Firefox sync to work either. My partner and I were out of sync. And I was a frazzled mess. Did I take the hint and get myself back in sync with Spirit? No. I just pressed on.

While this didn’t cause me to receive a $500 water bill, I did lose my peace of mind and my connection to Love.

    [Reply]

    Laura Clark Reply:

You can never put a cost on peace-of-mind but it may be more valuable than a $500 water bill if you let it things go un-synced! Sorr to hear about electronic frazzles ~ no doubt, knowing you, today is a more in-sync kind of day!!! 🙂

  15. I am off to check my spam folder. Thanks for this great way of looking at where the lessons and messages are. They are there, I know…but how do we find them? I think you have uncovered a fertile spot.

    [Reply]

    Laura Clark Reply:

It certainly was fertile. Someone aptly said wordpress sites had been hacked and that’s why I was getting so much spam. This is True. But, I still asked her why ‘toilet’ spam. Why not purses or shoes or medicines? And, SO many was what I needed because I obviously wasn’t listening to a few…indeed, I didnt’ listen to ANY of them until the water bill!
