How To Count Your Blessings ~ create a Blessings Bowl!

Blessings………..they are all around us if we only look to see them. But, do you really ever count your blessings?

Often times, life is so fast and so full of challenges and struggles that we forget to count our blessings.

Many gurus out there speak about gratitude jars and boxes. Last year, I had a gratitude journal ~ I wrote in it each night about what I am grateful for. It gave me pause at the end of the day to appreciate all that I have in my life and to take time to invite more in!  I’m doing something a little different. This year, I’m skipping the gratitude and going straight to counting my blessings.

Some times, when we feel grateful for something, it comes with a sense of being thankful for what we don’t have in our lives. This is good. But, when we feel blessed for having something, it has a higher impact, a higher vibration and a higher energy to it. So, this year, I’m going to count my blessings each and every night. It will be my ritual.

Here are the steps to create a Blessing Bowl:

Bright Betha

I decided not to use a jar but I’m using our huge magnificent, cut-crystal bunch bowl and have named her: Bright Betha. That’s Celtic for Life. And, it’s BIG because I’m going to have many, many blessings to count. Here it is with empty blessing slips just waiting for tonight’s entry. It’s on my bureau that I physically have to walk past to get into bed. No Excuses for not writing something down (even if one the hardest of most difficult days it only says: I”m blessed to be able to put my head down to rest!
Pretty Easy to create a Blessing bowl, yes? What are you going to choose? A jar, a journal, a bowl? What are you going to name it? Don’t forget that naming something gives it it’s own entity ~ and you won’t want to miss an opportunity to talk with it!
